Fast growing, multi-billion dollar, global manufacturer is seeking to add experienced Production Supervisors to their high-performing, 800+ non-union manufacturing facility located in central Illinois.
Current positions are on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Our client is a fast growing, multi-billion dollar, global manufacturer that has a great culture. This facility is a high mix production environment with over 800+ non-union employees. Leadership in this organization invests heavily in their employees and expects this person to invest heavily in their staff. This position requires a confident, business, and operations minded seasoned supervisor that can mature best practices this group employs.
Presently, there are openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
This position reports through the #2 leader in the plant and will be very visible to regional leadership. This organization has a prime atmosphere for career advancement and growth.
The Supervisor is accountable for operational activities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards to achieve established production schedules and desired quality levels in a safe manner.
- Supervise the activities and personnel engaged in manufacturing of products within their assigned department and shift.
- Create, maintain, and audit Standard Work.
- Interpret, apply, and/or consistently enforce all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules.
- Achieve departmental, plant, and corporate goals for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Promote clean, safe work areas throughout the plant by continuously checking for hazardous conditions.
- Lead production employees in continuous improvement activities.
- Develop, direct, and manage manufacturing personnel and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools.
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS degree or AS degree in a technical or business related field preferred
- Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong focus on Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Quality principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- 3-6 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
