Position Summary:
Reporting to the Area VP, this Senior Dealer Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the regional strategy to drive profitability and growth across the product portfolio servicing the Building Materials space. This position manages all aspects of Dealer Channel sales in the assigned Heartland region through the management of a team of 25 comprised mostly of independent agents as well as some FTE’s.
Accountabilities:
- Works with the Area Vice President (AVP) to develop market sales strategies leveraging the entire portfolio.
- Aligns resources with strategy.
- Creates a team atmosphere where team members work together in pursuit of a common mission; encourages open communication establishes positive outlook and nurtures commitment to the mission.
- Manages execution of strategic sales plans including prioritization of activities.
- Manages execution of strategy through external sales rep agency relationships.
- Develops and maintains positive customer relationships.
- Communicates with other corporate sales team members and channel partners to effectively manage activities in common markets.
- Works with Dealer Sales & Operations Manager to develop accurate sales forecasts and meet or exceed those forecasts.
- Supports Product Brand and Channel Marketing Teams in strategic planning and program execution.
- Travels as business needs require to cover the needs of the assigned territory.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

Experience & Education:
- Experience selling products within the Home Building Materials space
- Experience managing independent dealers
- 5-8+ years of experience in Sales with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position
- Demonstrated record of strategic sales planning and profitable market growth
- Demonstrated consultative selling skills
- Experience managing Channel Sales; Dealer-specific sales management preferred
